Expert advice from World of Cosplay and leading cosplayers on where to buy the Scarlet Witch’s costume from Wandavision’s stunning first series finale
Marvel’s hit 2021 TV series on Disney+ features Wanda Maximoff (aka the Scarlet Witch) and Vision from the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). Set in Westview, New Jersey, it follows events of the movie Avengers: Endgame (2019) and introduces Agatha Harkness, Wanda and Vision’s nosy neighbour, who (SPOILER ALERT!), turns out to be a witch intent on stealing Wanda’s ‘chaos magic’. While both Vision and Agatha offer great cosplay potential, as does Wanda with her Halloween costume, it’s Wanda’s Scarlet Witch finale outfit that’s the show’s star and was arguably the hottest cosplay in 2021.
Where to buy a Scarlet Witch costume
You’ll find various sellers on popular sites like Etsy, eBay and Amazon selling the entire costume (top, cloak, headpiece, trousers, belt, gloves and boots), with the average cost for the complete outfit ranging from around £150/$200 to over £300/$390 depending on whether you go for the basic or premium costumes. We asked cosplayers we met at MCM Comic Con London and Birmingham in 2021 about their outfits and have included their comments and links to their costumes in this guide.
The crown/headpiece is available to buy, or you can choose to 3D print it yourself as there are several excellent templates available. Whichever you choose, we’d recommend getting one with a strap as it will stay in place better.
@not_an_addams: My Scarlet Witch outfit
My costume is from Procosplay and I’d rate it a 7/10! Overall it looks great and is comfortable, but marks off for the gloves, because they fit too loose around the fingers and the palm stitching isn’t great. Even though I used my own measurements and their size guide, I still had to do some adjusting to the top portion to get it to fit right. The headpiece is from Zavvi, part of a limited-edition Wandavision Scarlet Witch Tiara and S.W.O.R.D pendant set, and honestly, I’d give it a 10/10! It looks amazing, it fits perfectly and the metal is flexible enough, without compromising its appearance, to get it to fit anyone!

@alexbraybrooke_: My Scarlet Witch outfit
I bought the whole get-up from Simcosplay and I’d give it 8/10. It looks super as it has so much detail, but loses marks because the material definitely does not last so well after a few washes and also the shipping was slow. The headpiece was from InfamousCosplay on Etsy and is great!
